Sleepy nights

It seems my favourite part of the day is quickly becoming the evening. As the darkness begins to draw in, a new array of sounds come to life. Children take advantage of the cooler air and play in the neighbourhood. Laughter, the patter of feet and the ever familiar squeak of a rusty swing will always bring joy to the hardest of souls.

The orchestra of crickets begins to deepen and soothe. The rumble of heavy haulage trains and even the occasional thunder rolling in the distance.

Then I looked up at the sky and saw stars…SO MANY stars. I haven’t seen that amount of stars sine I was a child camping. It is as if the veil has been lifted to reveal the jewels i’m not privy to in England. I look forward to enjoying the rest of this season.
